● Arya Math Academy organizes periodic STEM Talk sessions with world-wide professional and eminent researchers, doctors, technologists and scientists.
● With this initiative we aim to make our students aware of the wide range of career options and work opportunities that shall be available to them.
● Together with knowledgeable professionals, we aspire to ignite a passion for science in all learners and thrive in a data-rich world.
● This program’s goal is to help high school and university students make a meaningful connection to school, so they feel motivated to succeed. Besides this, we also seek to expand the number of students who ultimately pursue advanced degrees and careers in STEM fields.

Arya Math Academy STEM Talk - Episode 1 with Dr Vijay Modadugu
Dr. Modadugu Vijay Gupta is a world-renowned scientist and has been involved in fisheries research and development for over 55 years in India and in over 20 other countries in Asia, Pacific and Africa.
What did we learn in his session?
Aquaculture is aimed at providing nutritious source of food in the form of fishes and is one of the fascinating processes in the field of farming. Fish farming industry has experienced a boom by following the practise of aquaculture as the produce serves better nutrition and provides fruitful income to the farmers. Aquaculture shall prove to be a flourishing career opportunity in view of the growing awareness about animal nutrition intake.

Arya Math Academy STEM Talk - Episode 2 with Dr. Lakshmi Thalanki
Dr Lakshmi Thalanki is an Associate Professor in Department of Orthodontics at Boston University. She has substantial research experience and was honored with the prestigious Hatton award for her research from IADR (International Association for Dental Research).
What did we learn in her session?
Orthodontics and Periodontics are two different branches of Dentistry itself where the former involves fixing the irregularity of the teeth and jaws and the latter involves structuring and treating the gums and bones that surround the teeth.
Dentistry is one of those fields where you get to use your dexterity skills the most.
Before choosing a career path, students should shadow the person that they want to be because what is there in the books is quite different than what happens during practical application.
